America has voted for change with the choice of the most extreme pro-abortion and pro-infanticide president in history--to go with solid pro-abortion and pro-infanticide majorities in both the House and the Senate. As Gradgrind asserted, "These are facts, facts, facts. Cold hard facts."
In light of these facts, "How should we then live?"
The answer is simple: we too must change. We must stand for the sanctity of life as never before, with more courage than ever before, with more compassion than ever before, with more commitment than ever before, with more grace than ever before, with more resolve than ever before, with more creativity than ever before, and with more wisdom than ever before.

Thank you for this post, Dr. Grant. I have been following this blog and hoping for true change in this election cycle... hope for the unborn. It doesn't look like our president-elect will be one to deliver on that. But though I mourn for the babies that may be lost because of this, I rejoice that our God reigns and has a purpose in this. It's time to dust off Grand Illusions and re-read it, call my local crisis center and volunteer, and it's especially time for more prayers.
Christus vincit, Christus regnat, Christus imperat!
Han: Amen and amen. "Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, rules and reigns!" Revelation 19:6
For years I have always known that someday I would be involved in a greater capacity for the cause of the unborn. All I was waiting for was the proper timing. Raising small children and schooling them and being a busy Pastor's wife never seemed to allow for that timing. Just recently though I completed four weeks of initial training to eventually do ultrasounds at our local pregancy center. I wasn't even thinking about the election when making the decision to begin the training. But isn't God's Providence amazing? Yes, we too must change, Dr. Grant! And I just thought it would encourage you to know that folks are making that change a reality for such a time as this! I very much appreciate your prolife blog.
i agree...even now more than ever before will God's people need to rise up and take our places!! i may be disappointed about the election outcome but i know that my God is still on His throne and has allowed some "change" to happen.. i feel even more challenged to stand for rightousness today than i did yesterday ... i have been following and passing this blog on to many..so thank you
I'm an American living in Canada, and my Canadian friends watched the election process with more interest than their own recent prime minister election. Many of them have committed to pray that God changes Obama's heart on this particular issue, and watching that commitment come alive this past week has spoken volumes to me. We know that it is God who can direct the hearts of kings just like He can direct the course of rivers. Now our prayer is for the protection and justice for ALL of life, and for Obama to act with a righteousness and integrity that comes from Jesus.
What has President Bush done about abortion? What pro-life legislation has he passed? It's funny that y'all holler about Obama being somehow worse than Bush but at least Obama is honest about it. Bush and the GOP talk about abortion but never actually do anything.
Have you noticed that?
Salvage: Your comment reveals either woeful ignorance of the subject or willful obfuscation. Though I am no great defender of the Bush administration, the fact is that the president and his appointees have taken great pains to ensure that tax dollars are not used for abortions, that child-killing procedures are not performed on military bases or VA hospitals, and that various regulatory standards (parental consent, informed consent, OSHA standards, etc.) are properly followed. These are all limits on child-killing that the pro-abort crowd has been apoplectic over during the last 8 years.
